OK--I need some help from my gardening and plant expert friends. These are allegedly hydrangea plants, and the one with the red leaves does get flowers, but small ones. Neither have ever had a lot of blossoms. Someone told me the red leafed one looks like an oak hydrangea. Can anyone tell me if they are indeed hydrangea? And should I trim them down? I was once advised by a gardener that hydrangea grows back on the old wood so not to cut them back. They certainly have grown----
