OK! 10 is a big number (thank you Lori Davis Barnhill!), but what the heck. Here are 10 things you probably dont know about me. 1. I am incapable of executing a practical joke. I will get an enormous case of the giggles and completely blow it - every single time! 2. I am something of an expert on . . . the Mafia! I worked for almost three years as the assistant and researcher to Robert Lacey, as he wrote Little Man: Meyer Lansky and the Gangster Life. 3. I have lived in some of the most picturesque and interesting cities in the Southeast: Wilmington (my hometown), West Palm Beach, Charleston, Washington, Savannah, and Charlotte. After all that traveling and moving, we returned to my beautiful home state of NC to put down roots in Valle Crucis (Latin, for Vale of the Cross.) 4. I am mildly ADD, but have coped well with it all my life by being just a tad OCD! (My family will laugh when they read the words just a tad.) 5. I LOVE the ocean! (I am convinced I was a mermaid in a previous life ;) 6. I have three sons, each of whom was born in a different state. (See number 3). 7. I think I have the best marriage in the whole world. My husband is the BEST and I love him like crazy! 8. I am an incurable optimist. I always figure out a way to put a positive spin on things. 9. I have never waited a table in my life, but now I own a restaurant! 10. I believe that the secret to happiness is a grateful heart. Every single day I give thanks for all the blessings in my life.
