OK Facebook Friends, I need your help. Sammi Bye, the little 16-year old neighbor of mine has been having construction done to her home to make it more wheelchair accessible for her while she was in Phila at CHOP. The contractors, which were hired by the State, have made an absolute MESS of their home, done the job completely incorrectly, not ordered the correct and/or enough materials and measured the walls wrong so now walls have to be knocked out a 2nd time. They did demolition, spackled, sanded, , etc., and used absolutely NO dropcloths nor did any prep work to contain the dust and debris. Although Sammi was released from the hospital last week, she was not able to come home because there is so much dust and debris and she has MAJOR lung issues. This kid spent 34 days in the hospital, only to return to So Jersey to be currently staying at a local hotel and it is very costly to them as the State wont cover this. Where I need help is when this project is done - which will probably be over this weekend or early next week, they need a ServiceMaster type business to come in and clean their home - extensively. There is dust and dirt in all the curtains, the couches, all over the walls, etc., throughout the downstairs of their home. Mom and Dad werent there at the time of construction as they were up in CHOP in Phila while Sammi was there having 4 procedures for her lungs. If anyone knows of a construction-type cleaning company who would either donate their time or do this at a discounted price, please message me. I know I am asking a lot here, but this family needs and deserves a break and this is not the type of cleaning that I can go in with a bunch of women with mops, buckets and vacuums and take care of. This ones gonna take a village.....so Im asking my fellow villagers for help and/or suggestions. Thank you all for anything you can do to help this local family.
