OK, Facebook movie fan friends. Accept this as my summertime gift to you. I saw Tammy today....just so you wont have to. The movie tries so hard to make Melissa McCarthys character likable, it made the one fatal mistake for a comedy. It forgot to be funny. Just over an hour and a half and I laughed just once. And I cant even remember why. Susan Sarandon was OK, but as her grandmother? Allison Janney is wasted as her mother. (You do the math!) Dan Aykroyd is her father and is in one sequence. Wasted. Toni Collette shot all of her scenes on one set. Wasted. Stay away, unless it is so hot out and your air conditioning is on the blink.
