OK Folks! Here are the results of the first Snow Shoveling vs. Tarps experiment. I put two 12x12 tarps down over the driveway last night before the snow began. I spiked them down so the wind didnt blow them off. This morning, we awoke to 3 of wet, heavy snow. I knew that would be a problem, and it was. The snow was too heavy for me to just pull the tarp off the driveway. Id guess it weighed over 300 pounds per tarp. HOWEVER, I did notice that the slippery tarps made pushing the snow off MUCH easier and it was nice and dry on the driveway underneath. Ill try this again when we are going to get more powdery snow... and no more than a few inches.
