OK. I am doing a little better and I want to share a few things. We were so impressed with Hopkins and the whole move in process. Made things easier physically, except for all the walking to and from parking area. The campus is beautiful. You can walk from one end to the other in 10 minutes I believe. Love how secure the campus was. Call boxes everywhere, security, and the dorm was fenced in, and they have to have their card to enter courtyard as well as the building. Ryan had to return to take her some medicine we left in car in cooler. (Theh made him show id to enter gates)She was in her dorm floor meeting with RA. She was a little embarrassed. Oops. Yes I cried in front of her, I couldnt help it. Mainly as we told her how proud we were of her.....Lakyn has worked so hard academically and with everything she has pursued in her young life. While We are extremely proud of her and her accomplishments, --getting into an awesome school. We feel heartbroken at the same time. I know that this is the goal, to raise our children to be able to go out into the world and succeed, but right now it stinks. LOL She is just visiting JHU and will be back home soon. Haha. See ya later and not goodbye. This will always be her home, and her family will always be here for her......Hugs to all my friends going through the same thing right now.
