OK, I have to vent. I currently have an individual health care plan with Aetna where I pay $296 a year. it has a $5,000 deductible. I get this letter from Aetna telling me I can (1) accept the new Aetna plan starting December 1st at $350 a month (same coverage $648 MORE A YEAR) and, oh, I have to decide by 11/25 or (2) I will get the Affordable Health Care plan for $621 - no idea what deductible. When I called them, the woman, I will call her a woman because lady she aint, was so rude to me that I hung up. What the Hell? I have insurance that is affordable at $296 a month why do I have to either pay $351 for the SAME coverage or $621 for God knows what coverage?? She tells me, well, Texas has not agreed to Obummercare so they are just guessing at the cost and, that by 2014, when everything calms down (her words, not mine) Texas will fall in line and the price could be higher or lower..............oh really? Why the Hell are we being forced to pay more? Because we all know that we will STILL be paying for the millions that cant or wont purchase healthcare. And if we, the law abiding, tax paying people, dont concede to this extortion, we will be taxed? Good God, what happened to America, Land of the Free and Home of the Brave? I am boiling mad, not like it will make any difference, but I am just in shock as to how this is being rammed down our throats. UGH!!!! Heading to margaritaville..........
