OK, I just have to. I dont plan on arguing or commenting a whole lot on this. If you dont like it you know how to unfriend a person. You rarely change peoples minds on politics, but I am so sick to my stomach over this.... If you do comment..please keep it clean, no need to curse. Our government is going to pledge 47 MILLION in aid to help the refugees in Palestine. OK, I get the humanitarian effort and I am ALL for it, but it takes a SPECIAL KIND OF STUPID to think that Hamas will use ANY of this money to help Gaza rebuild anything other than missiles and tunnels. Hamas will NOT allow that Humanitarian aid to actually get to the poor people of Palestine that NEED the help. IT WONT HAPPEN. Come take my SOC 300 class about the developing world and the nature of foreign aid, its disbursements, its lack of oversight, how many dictators and regimes corrupt their systems in order to have money for only themselves and the ruling elites in their country, or any other number of ridiculous, inane, and irresponsible things on which governments spend their aid money. Hamas use people...THEY USE CHILDREN as human shields by telling them not to leave the area before its bombed. Hamas could give a rats teeny tiny rats butt about the Palestinian people. These people didnt be asked to be in the position, yet they are. Israel is trying to defend itself and we are going to give money so that Hamas can circumvent the monies, rebuild tunnels, and build more missiles so that Israel can be back in the SAME position of defending itself in the next 12-18 months. Our administration is a JOKE. Israel is our only REAL ally in the middle east, but we are going to undermine the actions they are trying to take to defend its people. NO OTHER NATION would be expected to tolerate what Israel tolerates, and now the UN wants to investigate Israel for WAR CRIMES....!!!!!!!!?????? OMGOSH.
