OK, Id like a general opinion on a situation that has been developing in our lives in relation to Straight talk telephones and Walmart customer service. We opened our gifts to each other on Christmas Eve, and its the first time wed been able to give each other gifts in quite a few years, so it was really special.... Long story made short... I bought her a straight talk phone that was the lg 305c. It isnt an android or a smart phone, but it was (supposed) to hook up to my existing WiFi and it was the top of the line phone that used the $30 cards. If you havent noticed, those $30 cards have went by the way side with smarter phones that require data in and out, practically all the time.... Well, we get the phone activated with the $30 dollar card I bought, and the phone makes and receives calls and texts without a hitch. But, it WILL NOT connect to my WiFi- (For Facebook app or Google) or any other WiFi connection I tried. (my moms, the neighbors, McDonald, etc.) So, I called straight talk customer service. Four phone calls and 5 hours later, they direct me to return the phone to the store for a refund, that it was in fact, a dud. So, last night I took the phone to Walmart, and the $30 card, and proceeded to get a refund on both. However, Walmart would only give me a refund on the telephone, not the $30 card. I had already bought another straight talk phone from a friend, that uses the $45 cards only, so I offered to pay an additional $15 to Walmart, to upgrade the $30 card to a $45 dollar card. The Store Manager, Andrew Seth Masters, of Camden, Arkansas, saw fit to not only tell me he couldnt do that, but in doing so, his drawer would be off by $30, I said... Sir, I want a refund on this card, which was only bought to work with this phone, that didnt work, and he said he couldnt refund me on a $30 card, and he couldnt upgrade the $30 card to a $45 card because there was nothing wrong with the $30 card, the problem was with the phone that used the $30 card. (I ended up buying a $45 dollar card to activate my wifes second phone, last night, but the fact remains, that $30 card should have been refunded with the defective phone) I told him Id see to it that everyone I knew would hear about this poor customer service at Walmart in Camden, Ar. I have supporting documentation to backup every claim I have made here, and Ill be pursuing this with the Arkansas Attorney Generals Office consumer protection division. If you happen to know this young man, Andrew Seth Masters, the associate manager of the Camden, Arkansas Walmart, be sure and let him know Im not through getting my $30 dollars back, yet. This could have been a simple ordeal, but straight talk blamed walmart and Walmart blamed straight talk. Sounds a lot like politics when youre in bed with an opponent.... I had to BEG Walmart to get a refund on the phone, but they kept saying it was going to be up to straight talk to refund the $30 card. My response was simple, didnt I PAY WALMART for the $30 CARD??? Heres my receipt that answers that!!! Someone please help me who is in a position to make this WRONG, RIGHT! Thank you!! Andy Chambliss 870-312-6867
