OK, Republicans-- explain to me this: The Ryan Budget seeks to replace guaranteed Medicare with a system of exchanges where people can buy private health insurance and vouchers (a partial subsidy) that they can use to buy it. So according to Mr. Ryan and those who support his budget, private insurance purchased on an exchange with a partial subsidy from the Government is better than Medicare. BUT-- this is exactly what is at the heart of Obamacare, but that is supposed to be so bad that it is worse for people who had no insurance than it would have been for them to remain uninsured. SO LET ME GET THiS STRAIGHT, Republicans! Private Insurance exchanges are BETTER than Medicare, but WORSE than nothing. From which we can deduce (transitive law) that they must be really arguing that having NOTHING for health insurance is BETTER than having Medicare.
