OK Yamaha guys--I need some help--have a 1979 Yamaha XS1100--cant - TopicsExpress

OK Yamaha guys--I need some help--have a 1979 Yamaha XS1100--cant tell from the service manual whether or not it must have the fuel manifold that connects carbs to fuel petcocks--fuel manifold also has a vacuum line to one of the intake boots between carb and cylinder. My bike does not have this installed but each fuel petcock has two fuel outlets like is shown in the service manual--one outlet on each petcock is capped off. Bike cranks and runs but after riding a bit it seems to be starving for gas and motor quits. After a few minutes it will start and do the same thing over again. I do not think the vacuum manifold system will help my issue?? Any suggestions??
