OK a Little/lot Rage N Country History - This would be the Paul Herveys rest of the story version of the band. *I met him when he was 15 when I was referring basketball as a night fun job in the Duluth church mens leagues many years ago and thought wow what an amazing athlete. But, something is weird he is not a basketball player at all. He is killing all the men on the court stealing the ball from them but cant make a lay up afterwards to save his life, LOL. So I tell him, I see your a pretty good shot, why not just pull up and shoot the ball after you steal it instead of trying to do a lay up? I told him, I know rebounds are a big part of the game, but the points are what really matters. So the young gent to my advice and just starting shooting from anywhere he stole the basketball, which was everywhere including fade aways from 22 feet,, that how quick and smart he was. The ending up losing the game, but this non-basketball crazy fun athlete really impressed me - that would take a lot since I have been involved in basketball my whole life. So I wanted to get to know him more and we struck up a very cool friendship. Many years later after working together very often do construction projects we became like brothers and I started to find out more and more about him. Not only was he a great friend, but an amazing musician with great ideas. One day I approached him with a idea about starting a fun Music group telling him my ideas and asking him if he would join me. He told sure I will check it out because its a cool idea, but I think that playing country music would be even a better to add to your idea. i figured Ok, show me. Man, the music he showed me and the incredible artists - Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and many more....I fell in love with the music and wanted to recreate the show with a country music background to it. So I got to work, picking songs with him to help me get my ideas off the ground. Rage N country was kinda born at that time, but my friend at the time had to take care of some pretty important things and was not able to be part of the band/project right than. I understood - but told him, My Friend/Brother when you are ready I want you to be with me and if my band takes off with our ideas, I want you with me. So I looked for people to join my band and help me get mine and his ideas of the ground. I found some peeps that loved my ideas and were willing to play country music too even though they never had. We brainstormed the name to finalize it and than Rage N Country was completely born. My friend came back and said I am willing to be part of it, but the other members at the time rejected him except for a few Curt Lewis & Lindsay Johnson), so I worked with him in the back ground and was trying to find a way to bring him in with everyones acceptance. As that was taking place, the others that did not want him in the band and were plotting on taking over the band, so I went to him for advice. He told me, Otiz take the high road and be smart - Patent your name and Ideas. I listened to him and talked to Lindsay and curt - who connected me to Jim Holbeck - Great man, TY Jim for sticking with me. Again, If it wasnt for my friend in the beginning this whole thing would have never happened, so I patent the name and after patented the name/Ideas of his and mine, I walked away from the others - collecting my things and starting over. BUT now my friend was ready, to be part of our AWESOME ideas and we were reunited again - SO SWEET! He Brought in our new lead Singer Heidi Pack who he had known for some years and showing me unconditional support wit brotherly love, Will Dale join the band he help create - bringing Rage N Country back to life. TY for reading my friends and I cant wait - We are going to work so hard to bring you all a fun show that will celebrate all your support of what we have tried to create to entertain you.
