It is interesting to see how this man, who devoted his entire life to reconciling the unholy philosophies of Plato with the “philosophies” of God’s Holy Bible, viewed the stars. Jesus is himself referred to as “the bright and morning star” in Revelation 22:16. Likewise a third of the angels are referred to as “the third part of the stars of heaven” in Revelation 12:4, but whenever an angel appears in earth, he has the appearance of a man—without wings (Genesis 19:1, 15; Hebrews 13:2; etc.). The Pleiades as a star cluster The Pleiades is what astronomers call an open cluster or a galactic cluster (the latter because they are confined to the plane of the galaxy, the Milky Way). Such a cluster’s stars are grouped in random but decreasing number outwards from the cluster center. In the case of the Pleiades the outline of the brightest stars is that of a tiny dipper or cup.
