OK.... here is Magoos video lesson with only one hurdle. I did set up the environment for success. Place the hurdle against a wall and something else so there is no place to wander except to jump. A training table would work too. Build on the foundations of training-- You can use a target stick or in this case a mat to jump start the behavior. Calling the cats name does not mean Come for us. It means, Hey you! Pay attention! Im about to give you a cue. My position is another hint--- I was in this position also to take the picture. Later I will change my position so Im on the sidelines, , or behind the cat. Today I will add more hurdles, maybe change to going to an end goal of another favorite behavior like jumping up to a podium or climbing something. Thousands of reps also can build speed.
