OK, here is todays update. Pete went to Doctor Cooper today instead of Friday. He had a bad night. Dr. Cooper said he might be to the point that he could not get the care that he needed, medically and physically at home anymore because I could not do it all. I told him I had promised Pete he would never go to a nursing home. He has congestive heart failure, 30 % heart function, that will not get better. He has some lung disease, and something that may or may not be bladder cancer. Pete is having a cystoscopy done Wednesday, dont know when we will have results. He has had multiple TIAs.............mini strokes. He is diabetic. He is 79. So today, with a lot of questions answered, and Dr. Coopers advice for him to be home, we called Hospice. This gives Pete the ability to stay in his home, gives him medical care, and me medical advice, along with a lot of other things. Pete and I always knew this day would come. He is going to have his hospital bed set up by the bay window in the living room, his Window to the World as he calls it. He has already promised Ray McKinstry that he will moon him.
