OK, here it is...HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my best friend and the most wonderful husband a woman could ever ask for. 37 years ago in Knoxville, TN my best friend of 6 years became my husband, lover and my everything! We married at the courthouse in the middle of a thunderstorm, I wore a RED dress and white hat/accessories (scandalous) we were married by a Baptist minister we just met; while filing for our license, our service was witnessed by a friend of the minister who worked on the 3rd floor of the courthouse AND over 25 people attended our ceremony - none were know by us, they were taking shelter from the storm. We were trying to make our way to the gazebo on the east lawn of the courthouse where I wanted to be married, when suddenly the Heavens opened up ...it rained, it thundered, it lightened then it cleared up to be the most beautiful day ever and everyone wished us well and went on their way...and Wayne and I have lived (for the most part) happily ever after.
