OK, heres the story for today!! We got in the truck, puppies loaded in with us and went to the farm for our daily walk. First we had to wait while a rider and horse passed by and then we had to wait for a girl out for a run!! There isnt usually anyone at the farm on the weekends so it was unusual. We didnt get out because Waddles would have tried to attack horse and the runner! She thinks everyone is trying to take me away from her!! After sitting for about 10 min. it was clear to let Waddles out. Minny is always good so no worries there. Waddles takes off like a streak and has her best time running free!! I thought to myself Self, you havent run in, oh maybe 25 years, so self, lets give it a go!!!!!! Self is NOT normal!!! I am a very visual person and I was seeing what I must have looked like!! I KNOW I looked spastic and I couldnt take big steps to run with. I imagined myself looking like an old lady trying to walk fast in one of those weird fast walking things that people do. Arms frailing in the air, short little steps, could actually walk faster than I was running. Or maybe like that crazy woman that does the Prancersizing prances like a horse!!! Waddles kept running back to me to see if I was ok or if she was going to have to go for help from John!!! I ran in my little short steps for about a fourth of a mile!! When I turned around, there was John trying to get his breath!! NO, not from running too, but from laughing so hard!! Thank God he didnt think to video it!!! Not to worry though, I am going to try it again and again until I can take big steps!!!!
