OK, several friends have asked about what is on tap next for me. I am scheduled be to operated on Nov. 14th by Dr. Sinard at Vanderbilt Hospital. The operation will consist of removing the tumor on the right side under the right jaw...Then removing the lower right jaw and some of my tongue. They will then remove some bone and tissue from the back of my right shoulder to rebuild the jaw bone! The operation will last about 12 hours and they anticipate my being in the hospital about a week. Once I am out of the hospital, they will start the Chemo and Radiation treatments which should last about 6 weeks. I have a long road ahead of me, but I have the faith and guts to get through it! I dont want anyone to feel sorry for me, however, your prayers, love and confidence in me will be appreciated and needed!
