OK, so now whenever theres an earthquake somewhere (like yesterdays in Oklahoma), its because of human activity the left doesnt like -- in this case drilling for oil or fracking. Of course, the press tees it up that way, too. And when theres an exceptionally bad storm, its also because of human activity the left doesnt like -- i.e., capitalism and its resulting carbon footprint. Im not smart enough to be a scientist, but isnt just a *little* skepticism in order when science all seems to have a political agenda attached to it? Or when emails recovered from research scientists admit to fudging the data to fit foregone conclusions? Im supposed to just roll over and say, Youre a scientist and I assume your motives are free of all considerations but the pursuit of truth; tell me what to believe and Ill comply, because I dont want to be the butt of anyones ridicule. I dont know whos right and whos wrong, but I object to inquisitions.
