OK so this crap only happens to me or so it seems. I recently purchased Rx eyeglasses from an online company. Got a great deal too. I was expecting the delivery anytime between 8/5-8/12 via USPS. I checked my email often for a shipping confirmation. I was notified it was sent out on the 7th. Now its the 12th and I still havent received it. So, today I tracked the package and it was listed as delivered on Saturday, 8/9. Uh, not to me! I call the company and told them I didnt receive the package, they argue with me that I did, the tracking said it was delivered. Yes, lady I know damn well what the tracking states, thats why Im calling...ugh! They instruct me to follow up with the USPS. At this point my anger is rising. I jump in the car and go to the post office and explain my situation. First they have to figure out who was on duty that day, then who was my driver, then a, ah-ha moment...your carrier was on vacation, so and so was on that day. Do I really care who was working, hello? My patience is waning and I ask well what can you do for me, I didnt receive it. OK well run a search...I wait for 10 minutes for them to do this. Now another clerk comes out and states with paper in hand to prove it, that the search list the package delivered at 8:05 on Saturday, 8/9 and then gives me the report. I said thats impossible, my mail is delivered between 11am-noon every day for the past 12 years and I retrieved it that day a few minutes after the driver left. But the clerk didnt want to hear that because his report shows a GPS signal of when the postman was at my home. I told him that proves nothing, maybe they were parked having coffee! He then says the packaged was scanned at that time too. Now my top is about to blow because hes basically calling me a liar. I tell him, OK but do you have a photo of them actually putting the package in my mailbox at said time and date? Yes, I was being sarcastic, however I was becoming angrier by the minute! I repeated to the clerk that I was home on Saturday, 8/9 and collected my mail a few minutes after the driver left. He then says, well maybe someone took it from your box? Sure we have mail thieves just waiting on every corner to beat us to our mailboxes, Cmon give me a break! I realized I was getting absolutely no where with them. Then the friendly post lady says if you had insurance on the package we could assist you but being it was JUST FIRST CLASS there really is nothing more we can do. I told her, yeah and thats why the USPS is going under...and left the building huffing. No one wants to take responsibility for this and Im out $109? No f-ing way was that going to happen! I call the company again and relate the entire story to them. I told them either they give me a replacement or a refund or otherwise I would call my bank and cancel the payment. After going round and round with me they agreed to send me a replacement set, but they were gong to send it USPS AGAIN! Are you kidding me? I told them I will only accept a replacement if they send it either by UPS or FedEx with a signature of receipt. It took a please hold on for a few minutes for them to come back on the line agreeing to my request. What really ticks me off is until I got angry and nasty neither the USPS or Eyebuy.direct were willing to help me resolve this issue. What ever happened to customer service? And how was your day?
