OK so today is the day, by 6 pm we will know if we have done the impossible and beaten the ABs scored 4 tries and denied them the bonus point. Heynecke and the boys can be happy whatever the outcome because he has taken the team to new heights this year and just as Kitch and Jake before him WE WILL be the team to beat in the 2015 world cup. The similarities in the campaigns are so obvious, key men in key positions, Morne playing his best rugby in years (95 Joel, 2007 Butch at his best), Fourie back to marshall the backline, a solid front row, a defensive plan that has structure (95 Joost and James vs Jonah) and the final part of the plan which Heynecke has not quite got hold of is discipline, we still have Flip v D Merwe doing his loose cannon stuff. Listening to James Small on TV giving his views on the game to come I was so, so impressed. James could have landed in the wilderness if two giants of SA rugby (Ian Mack and Kitch Kristie) had not managed him as well as they did Once Heynecke does with Flip what he has done with Morne, Fourie, Bismarck and Captain Courageous, Jean (remember the horrendous injuries of his early career) and Flip realises that he only has to play rugby but does not have to prove that he is Bakkkies re-incarnated we will once again have a world cup winning side.
