OK, tagged by Saritza Alicea Hernandez. Here are six things you may or may not know about me: 1. Im phobic of cats. Every time you post a cute kitty picture, I have a violent physical reaction. Not really, but its all I can do to bring myself to touch a cat. Im also phobic of crowds. I figure I must have once been caught in a herd of cats. 2. I have a condition called NLD: Non-verbal learning disorder. Most countries classify it as high functioning Aspergers. The US classifies it as a learning disorder. I tend to be socially awkward as a result. :) But Ive managed to get this far... 3. Because of the NLD, I had trouble with linear math and algebra, so after 7 tries at algebra, (which I needed to graduate from college) I petitioned the California State University System to allow me to challenge/substitute courses. Since this situation set a precedent, I had to continue attending college for 2 years after my actual graduation date while they approved my course of study. So while I graduated with a degree in History, I also had enough credits to get degrees in Theatre Arts, Humanities, Literature and Cultural Anthropology. 4. I was raised with no exposure to religion, then when I was 12, my family pressured me into joining the Mormon Church. I was pretty much indoctrinated into the church in an old school style, learning things they now deny. After a near death experience, I woke up an agnostic. ;) 5. A few years back I was almost killed in a violent auto accident. As a result of a minor head injury, I had to re-learn how to read and write. 6. Not long after that accident, I decided to make and pursue a bucket list. I accomplished most of my goals, which included: Graduating from college, Seeing Jethro Tull in concert in the UK, showing a dog at Westminster, seeing the Iditarod from inside the starting chute, visiting Hong Kong, going to a world movie premiere (in Hong Kong) and meeting Kuo Chui. (a martial arts cult movie star) Oh...writing a book was also on that bucket list. Like this post and Ill tag you with a number. :)
