OK thanks everyone for your help. I think I have nearly sorted a route. I propose a loop 50km on the YUM route, so 25km YUM and 25km YUM reverse. Plenty of up, plenty of down. Starts at Norton Summit Primary School, so no big road crossing at NS, and follows the YUM route back down through Horsnells Gully, Cleland CP and car park, into Waite CP for views over Adelaide and turns around at Brownhill Creek Caravan Park just past McElliggots Quarry. Retrace back up following exactly (as possible without signage) the YUM56 course and finishes at Norton Summit. Refreshments at the Scenic Hotel! Approx. 50km (just over), very few roads, no diversion from YUM so good training for anyone doing this years. The concept is a support run for Mal Laws High 50 Challenge (high50.org.nz) to show solidarty with the NZ running community and issues around mental health. So I will limit it to 50 runners who agree to be self-supporting and will donate a nominal fee to the IntelliLearn fundraising page for the High 50. If there is enough interest, Anthony Ramos from IntelliLearn will provide a fantastic and authentic paella for a donation at the end (chicken or vegetarian). Dress code: Red shirt, YUM shirt or fancy dress! Entry by Facebook event, no fee. Date TBC, poss Saturday 28th March, 0630, 0700 and 0730 (self select). Let me know if this sounds ok and I will set up an event on FB and promote via Trail Running SA and SARRC etc.
