OK.. you can boo me out, but people, its CAST IRON, not fine china,, I make just about anything and everything in my CU, and have my entire life. and I am almost 60 I have pieces that go back to my grandmother or older. But its not delicate stuff.. If I make stew, or chili or apple pie, maybe even pineapple upside down cake in mine.. its dirty, needs to be cleaned, A friend gave me some pieces a few years back, CI from Germany, excellent stuff, but she warned me,, her husband said to NEVER wash it..(they were buying some God forbid Paula Deen stuff) Just dont abuse it, no dishwasher, or harsh soaps, If it looks a bit dry smear a little bacon grease in it, if it needs new seasoning.. thats easy too.. rant over..
