OKATJORUU – Okakarara Constituency Councillor for Nudo, Vetaruhe Kandorozu, has called on supporters to ensure the party controls all seats in the constituency. “Don’t let anyone from any other political party come and run organisations in this constituency, not even school principals from other political parties should be allowed to operate in this constituency,” he said while addressing a political rally last weekend. He said decision-making positions such as those of school principals, the CEO of the town council and many other strategic positions should only be reserved for Nudo supporters. “If they come here, we must work out ways to drive them out of the system, they will obviously run to my office to report,” he said. “I will just sweep their complaints under the table,” said the Nudo constituency councilor. “All aspirant office-bearers should be Nudo supporters,” he stressed. He further urged supporters to come out en masse and cast their votes for Nudo, saying the party has the interests of voters at heart. “I know that the elderly are going to vote but I am not sure about you young people, so make sure that you, brothers and sisters, vote to make sure that the party you vote for is Nudo,” he said. Kandorozu told supporters the country is being led by corrupt leaders. “Look who is benefiting in tenders, it is only the Pohamba’s and those with close links to him,” he said. He said since coming to power, the Swapo Party-led government has raised taxes, and hiked petrol and diesel prices that have a cascading impact on the costs of other commodities. Kandorozu implored voters to familiarise themselves with the new electronic voting machines (EVMs). “The ECN is going from town to town, so make sure that you familiarise yourself with this new technology,” said the Nudo councillor. “We call on all voters to go out in numbers to vote for Asser Mbai,” he said. “Go and vote for Veii so that he can continue where former party president Kuaima Riruako left off,” he stated. “We want to maintain a 100 percent win, please make sure you vote,” he said. He said Nudo is the only political party that can unite the masses.
