OLIVER TAMBO, ON ZAMBIA AND TANZANIA IN THE STRUGGLE ! One powerful book you can buy concerning the liberation struggle in Southern African is the one by Oliver Tambo entitled “Oliver Tambo Speaks – Preparing for Power” published 1988. The book contains Tambo’s speeches. He spoke highly about Kenneth Kaunda and the Zambian people and about Julius Nyerere and the Tanzanian people. He like always mentioned Zambia first and then he would immediately and naturally mention Tanzania. See, for instance: “It would perhaps be regarded as invidious to single out states that have given us (the ANC) help and it would be tedious to list them all. Yet we cannot but place on record our appreciation of Zambia, Tanzania, UAR and Algeria who have been our mainstay through many a difficulty.
