OLPH will be celebrating 16 de Septiembre on Sunday, Sept. 15, events start with Las Guadalupanas serving Enchilada Plates starting at 11:30 a.m. at the OLPH Parish Hall. Three cheese enchiladas, rice, beans, salad, dessert and tea for $7 per plate until sold out. Parade will start at 2 p.m. in front of the church; decorate your vehicle, bicycle, golf cart, 4-wheeler or your horse and line up in front of the church by 2 p.m. Prizes given for best decorated vehicles and bicycle. Then from 3-7 p.m. there will be a Tardiada with live music by our local band, La Nueva Onda along with food booths, colitas, drinks, hamburgers and we will have both the Blue Monster and the Bouncey House at the back of the church for the kids. Just like the carnival, you will need to purchase tickets to buy at the booths or get on the Blue Monster and Bouncy House. Bingo will be at 3 p.m. at the Parish Hall. The Raffle will be drawn at 6 p.m. with the prizes being 1. Heritage Round 18X42 Deep Complete Pool Package; 2. Char Griller Duo 3-Burner Liquid Propane & Charcoal Grill with Side Burnerl; 3. Coleman Instant Screened Canopy 12X10 foot. Tickets are $1 each and can be purchased from any Parish Council Member or there at the 16 celebration.
