OMG. I woke up and just shot out of bed to start creating jewelry for Rip Tides in Wells. I have not been this excited about working on a Sunday in a long time!! Surrounded by boards of sea glass now and designing things. Its my most favorite thing to do, except for hunting for glass. I AM LUCKY I discovered that I needed to make things with my hands, as part of my living. I honestly dont know if I would have come to this if I hadnt been shocked by a breast cancer diagnosis 8 years ago. One of those life changing situations that makes you go: WHAT Do I NEED TO DO BEFORE I Go & WHAT MAKES ME HAPPY? I realized then that I couldnt just imagine that I would die at around 80-something, which might be the national average for women. (Will look it up, of course.) I knew I just better get to it. Have needed to access that feeling again over the past 6 months..... Imagine a happy future and live happily and purposefully in the present as I look ahead. UMMMM, I seemed to have forgotten that. But it is definitely coming back.
