OMGosh, what a crazy start to a Monday morning! LOL! Since the girls were at their dads house for the first day of school, I was planning on taking First Monday of school pictures. Planning, that is, until we opened the front door and saw it was indeed raining! What? In sunny Cal? What is this wet stuff you speak of?? So.... off to find something water proof for the humongous art project, and find actual pants instead of shorts for older daughter... of course she gets to the Jeep and realizes Huh, Im still wearing my flip flops.... sheez! Do they think we live at the beach or something? My mom would have killed me if I wore flip flops to school. But, yeah.... older daughter went in flip flops.... younger daughter at least was wearing boots, and a skirt... but I was not letting her back into the bedroom to try and find a new outfit 2 minutes before we needed to leave. (Oh,and dont even think I own an umbrella for either kiddo to use...) Then, it takes a mere 5 minutes to get to school and them dropped securely off .... securely as in I didnt stop in the no stopping zone where EVERYONE else was .... no. I got that ticket 2 years ago, aint gonna get it again! Bleh! Only to find some poor person had crashed into the bridge around the corner from the school... which detours all the traffic back out and back towards the school. Took 20 minutes to get back home.... and the school is literally just down the street! Of course, there are 4 schools worth of rainy Monday morning accident induced detour traffic to fight ones way through first! LOL, did I mention it was a bit crazy? Hope the traffic accident people are ok. Hope it was just a slight spin out because of the rain. :-( Because, it is California and we totally dont know how to drive in the rain and all.
