The Book of Wisdom and the second Book of Maccabees were written in Greek, as was the entire New Testament. Thanks to the ccoperation among Scripture Scholars of all faiths, modern English translations are in substantial agreement with one another and accurately relay to us the ideas and feelings conveyed in the Original languages. To the extent that they do, God, the divine Author of the Bible, speaks to us through the human authors of the Bible. (will be continues).
