ON DSS DISCOVERY OF APCs GRAFT It looked like a comic movie - TopicsExpress

ON DSS DISCOVERY OF APCs GRAFT It looked like a comic movie watching the DSS briefing of the press on the invasion of APCs office at number 10 Bola Ajibola Street in Ikoyi, and their subsequent discovery of the partys illegal activities. The said property being used is neither numbered, nor bears any insignia suggesting it an office premise of the opposition party. According to the Deputy Director of the DSS, Marilyn Ogar, the spy body received actionable information that the building was used for cloning INEC Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) by some unscrupulous persons with intent to hack into INEC database, corrupt it and replace same with their own data. According to the spy chief, the following discoveries were made on getting into the building without the signpost of any company or political party; Temporary Voters Cards, Permanent Voters Cards...that one of the hard drives recovered from the building contained a video of twenty one hacking tutorials. She further went on to elaborate on the contents of the video in terms of the specific hacking lessons contained. This was no doubt a significant find by the DSS, and should serve to subsequently unravel the evil men behind such sinister plot. However, the caveat lies in Marilyn Ogar and DSS modus operandi ab initio. Much of her pronouncements look deliberately designed to taint the opposition party as being behind the voodoo discovery, but the spy chief should be smart enough to know that such act could hardly be a wider party policy. It was particularly laughable when the DSS claimed the said building never had any party sign post, and the question even a child would immediately ask our intelligent gathering body is; can any other person print APCs material, organize the said Voter Cards and computer hard drives (containing Marilyn Ogars novel discovery), to implicate the opposition party, and put a call through to DSS? The DSS either organized the hoax or fell too cheaply to such childish plot. The involvement of the spy in either scenario paints a sordid picture of our apex intelligent body as a nation, and we must be in deep shit if this is the best they could do. Again, going public before investigating issues thoroughly remains the worst goof of the DSS and their boss, whom we have grown increasingly accustomed to seeing on national television making superfluous statements that she has never substantiated. It reminds one again of the number of suspected terrorists and bombers that have been paraded on national television that were never heard of again. This madam must be heading an intelligence gathering body that has distinguished itself in being unintelligent. The head of such a supposedly novel organization must have an overwhelming presence in the intelligence circle, and not overtly seen doing press briefings on national television on a daily basis. I bet any doubter that nothing much would be heard of this matter (like the numerous cheap victories scored by the DSS). The facts presented on television by the DSS press briefing do not in any way indict the opposition APC, and it could still be interpreted as a plot by the PDP to cast aspersions on their errant sons, called the Progressives. Rigging has already started well before the February 14th national elections, and such findings only reinforce the well known fact that no one has a monopoly of rigging. Its about whod out rig and ultimately outwit the other. I run the risk of being labelled an APC sympathizer, or an outright loyalist. Im not in any case, and maintain the APC is just a mirror image of the nest called PDP, and does not offer Nigerians a viable ideological alternative to the ruling party- the one called the mega party, the largest in Africa! Unfortunately, Nigerians have little choices between two well known evils. Its on this painful realization of limited choice theyd choose their president in 2015. Like Frederick Forsyth posited in his The Devils Alternative, whatever decision I take men must... While we acknowledge the painful and difficult choices (or no choice) we have to make in 2015, Marilyn Ogar and her DSS must refrain from further insulting our sensibilities with such primitive attempts at intelligence gathering.
