ON MULTILEVEL MARKETING BUSINESS MODEL I was told to engage - TopicsExpress

ON MULTILEVEL MARKETING BUSINESS MODEL I was told to engage myself now into building up my organization which is vital in every multi-level marketing. I totally agree. Albert Einstein believes that becoming a man of value is far more important than being a man of success. This is precisely the fundamental question of being and having. Christian and Jasmine, one of the inspirational couples whose lives, not only radically changed in having more (a story from rags to riches that film producers wont hesitate to retell in a movie) but being more (they continue to inspire and help other people reach the goals they set, fulfill the dreams they want to achieve.) They are each a man and a woman of value. And this insights about being a man of value attracts me to re-examine my own journey in life. This insight has captured the inner desire of my heart and inspired me to take a one bold step. For a long time, I have been critical of the MLM as it was practiced in the Philippines, and elsewhere. Market saturation has always been a problematic which seems to be an integral part of the system, an inherent defect. Why it failed to deliver what was promised during business meeting sessions? My take on this was on the emphasis on big money and neglect of the products. The core concept of MLM as movement of products from the manufacturers to consumers was neglected. Harvard Business School of Leadership described Amway as “one of the most profitable direct selling companies in the world and its secret of success is no secret at all: Amway founders Van Andel and DeVos accomplished their success through the use of an elaborate pyramid-like distribution system in which independent distributors of Amway products received a percentage of the merchandise they sold and also a percentage of the merchandise sold by recruited distributors. Notice the term pyramid-like distribution scheme was used to accuse Amway of pyramiding. However, a 1979 US Federal Trade Commission ruling established that the Amway business model is not illegal. The Amway case is a learning case for other MLM ventures. And still we witnessed a number of MLM companies closed in the past 10 years. What went wrong? The Federal Trade Commission warns: It’s best not to get involved in plans where the money you make is based primarily on the number of distributors you recruit and your sales to them, rather than on your sales to people outside the plan who intend to use the products. Marketing guru Robert Kiyosaki argues that the richest people in the world look for and build NETWORKS. Everyone else looks for jobs. Bill Gates himself said that If I would be given a chance to start over again, I would choose NETWORK MARKETING. David Letterman asked Donald Trump in an interview What would you do if you lost everything and had to start over again? Without hesitation, Trump replied: I would find a good network marketing company and get to work. Elsewhere Donald Trump said: I am often asked if Network Marketing is a Pyramid Scheme. My response is that corporations really are pyramid schemes. A corporation has only one person at the top, generally the CEO, and everyone else below. Well, let us build networks. Religious people are building up networks for a certain cause, for example, one network is committed to pro-life and the other is committed to pro-choice. The idea of bayanihan, participation, solidarity, coalition are no different from the idea of networking. Jesus himself was a networker. :)
