ON THE LOSS OF A LOVED ONE The skies grow dark, when a loved one dies, It’s hard to see light through tear filled eyes; Yet it’s only with rain, that a rainbow appears, And a rainbow too, can be seen through the tears. When the loved one walked hand in hand with God, And trod the path that the Master trod, Then those left behind, can rest assured, That their loved ones future has been secured. To the soul that loved Him, the Saviour’s laid claim, And even though tears and heartache remain, Like a rainbow, God’s promise is shining for you; My Spirit will comfort, and carry you through. © Ailsa Yates 22/4/97 Ailsa Yates
