ON THE POTISKUM SCHOOL BOMB BLAST (10/11/2014) by Steven Atogi (12/11/2014). Some questions became complex to phantom. Yet, we know that the elites knows who Boko Haram are. They are guilty with their awkward pretence and inhuman politics. This is the evil taste of capitalism in an insane part of the world were our rulers are sadistic. No thanks to their western tutors. The foreign gods are ghost actors, our rulers are their masks displayed openly. The question is Are their still human beings on this plane in this time? Or just slaves of capitalism, swallowing its bitter pills? You must know that some people, a few, gain from every war blood. The ammunition sellers are one, the buyers and sponsors of the insurgents are another, on the other side of the evil coin. The later have ulterior motives, the selfish motives, which are hidden on Boko Haram. Their ilk, the rich and above-the-law knows this. Do we expect barbarians to care? To the sadistic actors, they get pleasure on the news of countless deaths at each strike of their Boko Haram boys and feels proud of their might. The PDP and APC knows something about it. Capitalism, the monstrous practice with human voodoo on the alter of greed has eaten up their reasoning. As for the youths. They are too indolent to embrace unity to act with one voice. Like the dry naked trees without leafs, wounded by the wild harmattan of the southern hemisphere. In different settings, one might take youths to be vigorous, but ours are like withered old women. To be wicked is easy but to be upright is hard, therefore, only the brave can unite with one voice for the progress of our nation. While the weak cowards easily embrace violence against such brave few, falling prey to the evil political mastermind of the divisive staunch klepts in our political arena. In this harsh capitalist clime, none would put the survival of the nation above his/her personal hustle; I think they call it survival of the fittest. Even if it means bruising your neighbors head to get that bread for survival and standing on top of his blood to guzzle it, then walkinf off without minding you had wasted your neighbor. If you had taken this solitary archaic and abandoned pathway I had, in mournful echoes of nationalism. That cry for national growth, an utopian society, were the vast resources wont be personalized by few crooks. If you have seen what Im seeing, the solitude, neglect, hate, enmity, disdain, despair etc. I had even interacted with some youths who expressed with cocky laughter, we didnt started the corruption and its not us(our generation) that will end it. Then you will know how gloomy things are in Nigeria. Maybe am living a nightmare of the Nigerian Dream. The polarizing and polluting politicians always have their way, in bringing out the youthful stupidity of our nations youths. Especially, during preparations for elections, with their taunting peanuts. You must know now, why the Revolution is very gloomy. The time for military revolutions has passed, our military nowadays are not reliable nor trustworthy. The epidemic capitalism has eaten deep into that sector also. In addition with the ethnic, tribal and regional epidemic children of capitalism, birthed in our clime by the political elites. A civilian Revolution brought the 27 years reign of Campoare of Burkina Faso to an end, recently. He resigned due to civilian demonstrations. People defied the ruthless teargas and bullets of the wild, immoral police with misplaced priorities, who dont know who they were sworn to protect, as the case of Africa. Just as I earlier pointed out in one of my speech titled The Revolution Is Not A Facebook Thing published on 9/9/2014. I spoke of the failure of the 15th January 1966 incident, which was seen as revolutionary by some and as ethic victimization from another angle, which forever shaped the history of Nigeria hitherto. The civilians of Burkina Faso has also failed in same way. They had not gathered young intellectual minds with burning patriotism, whom are supposed to be recommended, backed up and elected to the various offices in government. The few with genuine visions were not sorted out for, neither was/is there a good political movement in place with such rare figures. The military wouldnt have taken up governance because they have no business in that. The fate of Burkina Faso is still murky. They have less than 90 days to make a choice, if the window remains open at then, as the military behavior of African states are unpredictably dangerous coupled with a very obnoxious long history. And in this case, they came uninvited. Back to home, would Nigeria experience such civilian victory in revolution? You know the answer and why. The few of us who still have blood running in our veins, will always be bitter about the Boko Haram killings of defenseless citizens. Especially, their demographic target of poor and vulnerable children and women. It is insane, outrageous and appalling. But the truth remain that the political elites and rulers, especially those from the North, knows more about Boko Haram than us. There silence speak suspicion. There pretentious stance also present suspicion. I am using this medium to call on those in the corridors of power, be it political, religious, traditional etc, especially from the North, to address this societal malaise, going on in that region urgently. All unhealthy personal interest should be disposed in the dustbin of history, for humanity sake. The opposition APC should not exempt itself from suggesting applicable measures to curb the insurgency, instead of disparaging the office of the president. They should desist from the blame game and irrational politicking, for it is trivial in the now. It is irrelevant to national development. Or are the opposition members not Nigerians? The issue of change should start from their dominated states, and I dont see the opposition dominated states as problem free. If their change slogan holds any iota of genuineness, it should be exhibited in moral conducts, not their current display of reckless criticism, disparaging of the countrys image in the international community. The PDP led federal government should swiftly eradicate this evil Boko Haram with advanced measures. The needful should be done, the perpetrators of this dastard acts should be brought to book. The funding channels of the sponsors of this home terrorism should be cut off. If the PDP are genuine enough on the resolve to solve the Boko Haram menace, then it demand no other time than now. Because elections are in the corner and to prove their stance of the much touted free, fair and credible elections promise come 2015. They better ensure that the insurgency is quelled permanently, prior to the 2015 general elections. This will be the only way to guarantee the electorates of their right to vote and turn up en masse to participate in the elections. Else, democracy would further remain buried in paper. And the nation state would gradually metamorphosed in to anarchy, except the Revolution takes place, but if stalled, the nightmare of all nightmares is the consequence of a failed state.
