ON THE ROAD with M’Liss – ON THE SPUR of the MOMENT After a full productive work day, over a cup of tea, and Michael a glass of wine, we were reminded of a play on Broadway. On the Spur of the Moment, an hour before curtain time, we flew out the hotel doors, into the freezing cold night. Down into the warm subway; I went through the turn style; Michael’s ticket did not work! The machine said not enough funds…It had the same amount as mine! I handed him my ticket, it did not work! Michael went back to the ticket machine, to reload the cards – it seemed like forever! Finally on the same side of the turn style as me! We went down two flights of steps; Michael is in charge of navigation. As we looked up at the signs, and his note with the address, gentlemen behind us said, “You are on the wrong track! Your train is on the other side!” Thanking him as we ran back up the steps! Back down to the correct ramp, we waited for the next train. We jumped in, thankfully a seat for me. We arrived at our stop, and quickly headed back up into the cold NYC night – the wind brutal. Michael pointed and said, two short blocks, turn right, end of the street, soon we could see the theatre, and he was right on! Arrived in time to purchase tickets, the back row, on the aisle, and my heart was pounding. Two minutes, the doors opened, and we were in the warm theatre! More tomorrow! With Love from NYC.
