ONE YEAR AGO TODAY--- we held our 2013 BUMBLESCRATCH Workshop! The time sure has flown. For those of you who dont know, Bumblescratch is the musical I wrote about the Great Plague of London. Last week, UC Berkeley student ADAM NIEMANN directed two excerpts (back to back) from Bumblescratch and I think he did an absolutely awesome job! The first excerpt is called, BUMBLESCRATCH NIGHTMARE. In this sequence, the storys protagonist, MELBOURNE BUMBLESCRATCH must face his inner demons who suddenly become very real to him. Ultimately he is judged by those demons. The second excerpt, entitled, THE WIDOW MacGREGOR has Melbourne telling his audience the tale of a woman whom hed long ago befriended, only to ultimately betray. The widow travelled to London in search of a better life, only to be met by isolation and despair. The sound isnt great, but I will also post some script pages for anyone who wishes to follow along. I was truly sorry not to be able to attend this performance. I think everyone did a splendid job!
