ONLY 4 THE PURE OF HEART..... ACTS 8:18-25. When Simon the sorcerer saw the ministry of Peter and John, he offered to buy the secret of their power. NEWSFLASH:THE ONLY WAY, IS BY JESUS! Luke 18:25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. This showed Peter that Simon did not understand his relationship with God; he only sought God for what he might get out of the relationship. Perhaps he wanted to gain back the prestige he had lost when Phillip came to town (ACTS 8; 9-13). Peter warned Simon that he needed to examine himself and repent. Because in John 3:3 Jesus said THE ONLY WAY is for a man to be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. This problem of impure motives also applies to our ways as children of Jesus Christ, as we are living in this sinful world. As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. II Samuel 22:31. Saints we are not here to just look good, if so, we are in it for the wrong reason. WE ARE HERE TO DO GODS WILL. When we look to God for help, we are making his will our own. Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. We WILL succeed in this race, WHICH IS A MARATHON AND NOT A SPRINT, but only if we submit completely to Gods will for our life, Amen. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
