OOC UPDATE: After this season update, the timeline of Living Dungeon World will be advanced by five years. Your characters will age five years, and the world will change a great deal in that time. We will post a map and World Update on Sunday night or Monday morning. However, before then, you should tell us what your characters have been doing during that time. Each character will be allowed to achieve one great work during this time; perhaps they will found a new village, or establish a new fort, or organise and help build a new road along the river. Or you could use this opportunity to advance your characters’ stories; have them make significant progress towards their goals, or lay the foundations for a future adventure. This is your chance to have your characters change the world. There are a few ground rules: -You cannot do anything which would uncover an unexplored area on the map. -Within reason, you can do something which would not normally be permissible as a between seasons move because it would be too difficult or have too much effect on the world. -You cannot do anything which affects another PC directly. -This five-year move is instead of getting a between-seasons move (meaning that you do not also get a Spring-Summer move). Post your five-year moves below. A GM might veto it or ask you to modify it if it would be beyond the character’s abilities or would be better served as an adventure. All of the PCs actions will be incorporated into the World Update which will be posted on Sunday night or Monday, so you will have to have posted your move by then if you want it to happen. If your character does not make a move, they can be assumed to have been working, and earned 1000 gold (five years’ worth of 50-gold between seasons jobs). Please do not make any "Adventurers Wanted" posts until after the World Update has been posted. SEASON UPDATE: SUMMER 356 The pleasantly warm Spring turns into a pleasantly hot Summer. The months go by peacefully. While it seemed at the start of Spring that war was looming with the Unblinking Eye City in the caldera, a peace settlement was once again reached when a group of adventurers rescued both the Serpent ambassador Turissi and Whitmouth’s own ambassador Ser Clemense from a breakaway sect of Unblinking Eye priests intent on returning their god to its former glory. The dragons also seem to be content to let peace continue uninterrupted, and an alliance has been established between Whitmouth and the Dwarven city of Al-tûr, thanks to a group of adventurers who visited the city and earned their trust. The same group of adventurers report that a large squad of Lord Silverstar’s soldiers attacked them on their way to Al-tûr. In response, the Governor has increased the price on Silverstar’s head to 8000 gold. As well as this, while the last of the wounded from the Battle of the Winter have recovered and left the makeshift hospital in the Cathedral of Mithras, the hospital has been filled instead with large numbers of men and women suffering a strange plague which has become known as “the purple flushes.” The causes of this disease are as of yet unknown, but it is rumoured to be a curse from the dead. Aside from these troubling facts, all of the news is good. The farms surrounding Whitmouth have been experiencing an unprecedentedly good growing season. The food shortage is a thing of the past, and the office of the Governor is rapidly establishing trading treaties with cities in the Imperium and beyond so that the surplus of grain can be exported. Adventurers find themselves suddenly at a loose end as all is well on Mithrasia while it enters a long period of extended peace and prosperity.
