OPEN LETTER TO LUO TRIBE BY NANCY OMONDI I am Luo with parents from Homabay but raised in langata. We as luos we have to change some of the characters inorder to restore our respect. We are full of pride even when it is not justified. When Lupita bag an award ,Origi scores in world, and a luo obama win USA presidency capitalize that to undermine other tribes. If it goes by tribes Kalenjin should be on the lead since 1940s they have been appearing im international timeline as world record holders and champions funny enouph they are very humble. They lead this country for 24yrs they never brag.Yes we believe tumesoma sana na we are embloyed by kikuyu companies coz they are hardworking and visionary while us are just hardworking for nothing. If tradition is to go by then we are the washamba.look on wife inheritance ,cases of HIV.We are most unfaithful lot.DO we know 70% of Nairobi is owned by kikuyus both buildings and business.most companies are theirs or have greater shares. We hate them when they employ their tribe to work in Kisumu supermakets yet uchumi, ukwala etc belongs to them and they have right to embloy whom they thing will bring productivity. We rely on 80% of kikuyu companies and business empire for job.Why are we this poor? we talk alot and act less.KIKUYUS AND KALENJINS own universities, banks, engineering firms, schools ,hotels, factories, companies etc why not us? They employ us to make money for them but with pride the money is wasted.Stop pride stop ujinga like being potrayed by luo leaders since history being sturbon for nothing.work for your own and respect others. We cant do without Kikuyus and Kalenjin jobs. If Mama Ngina Embloys more kikuyus in Kenya power that isnt tribalism Kenya power belongs to her.same to Biwot to kobil for Kalenjin it is his property.same to like criss kirubi,Jimna Mbaru,James Mwangi,Joshua Kulei ,Daniel Moi,etc Own yours and employ your own .HARDWORK AND BEING VISIONARY PAYS minus pride.TUCHANGE.
