OPEN LETTER TO OGUN WEST POLITICAL LEADERS: Dear leaders, it is with a heavy heart and deep sorrow I write this epistle which becomes highly imperatives in the wake of the proximity of 2015 general elections. History is definitely a non living being but it lives longer than human beings and has everything to say about each mortal who visit the earth at one time or the other. History tells us that our dear Ogun State was created in 1976 even though I was not around then. The same history reminds us of how many of our fathers and mothers from Ogun West, who are no more today, were party to the political calculations and arrangements that continually see to our inability to produce a governor from this District up till now. Very fresh in our memory is the scenario of 2011 where we almost scored the much awaited goal in history but majority of our people were brainwashed along party lines to mal our best political outing in history! Our enemies from within were used by our external war lords and we are all biting our fingers today, what a shame on Ogun West! How on earth can we be treated by the Amosun-led administation as a slave who has no substance of any form in the PALACE? Are we truly slave in the PALACE? When will our so-called leaders who are perceived as vessels of destruction by their counterparts from the other Districts shun we-want-to-eat syndrome? Dont you know the cake u eat cannot remain in ur hand again? Why do u wish to go to paradise when dont want to die? We feel the pains each time u tell the us the tale of how we are being marginalised by the other Districts but it is glaring that you recieve the dues paid for our woes. Why do u always shed crocordile tears as if u are really interested in our political cum economic emancipation? While other Districts are busy strategising right now on how to maximize the table turning, most of our leaders from Ogun West are busy flexing muscle on party dominance and leadership structure to maximize personal gains, yet they claim we are being marginalised. Why cant u all stand firm and insist on the emergence one concesus candidate regardless of party and let us work for the common glory rather than who shares what in each party? Do u think we can repeat the same strategy and achieve different result? SACRIFICE is golden in this game but our leaders dont want to sacrifice personal gain and ego for our common progress. Is this a spell on the land? Initially, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka and Hon Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade are in the race on different political platforms but the emergence of Omoba Segun Adewale from the same Local Government with Hon Akinlade sends a signal as the game of divide and rule from external influence looms. What our leaders are doing about these complex issues remain unknown. If we miss 2015, it is as good a century wasted............Ogun West leaders, let history remember u for doing the uncommon this time around.
