OPENING ADDRESS ON THE CELEBRATION OF BRENTWOOD CHRISTMAS by Juan Paolo Entoma Good evening my dear ladies and gentlemen. Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor, I am honored that Brentwood requested me to give an address and speak before you on this Brentwood Christmas celebration a thanks-giving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording all of us an opportunity peacefully celebrate this Magic Ball in love and joy Which Christmas celebration all over the world is all about. Now therefore I am happy to see you all this 13th day of December 2014 as people of these great institution as servant of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be. That we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanks, for his kind care and protection of our dear school the BCAIS to celebrate this annual event, for the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interposition of his providence, which we experienced in the course and conclusion of the hardship, for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty at Brentwood, which we have since enjoyed, for the peaceable and rational manner in which we have been enabled to establish academic standard for our academic offering and obligation to our community , and particularly the development of our school now lately become progressive, for its internationalization and international partners with which we are blessed, and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge and in general for all the great and various favors which he hath been pleased to confer upon us. And also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech him to pardon our school and our other transgressions, to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually as members of this great institution , to render our alma mater a blessing to our society, by constantly being a school of wise, just and brilliant educators, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed their roles , to protect and guide all students and parents and employees (especially such as have shown kindness unto us) and to bless them with abundance, peace, and concord. To promote the knowledge and practice of the character which is truly Brentwood, and virtue, and the increase of knowledge among all of us, and generally to grant unto all Mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best. Let this occasion Brentwood Magic Ball be the center of celebration of Christmas that everyone of us enjoy the bounty and blessing of good life by one and only Great Being. Welcome to the Grandeur of this occasion ladies and gentlemen.
