OR Day 1 Update: on water demo day; paddled the Coosa HD, Kraken - TopicsExpress

OR Day 1 Update: on water demo day; paddled the Coosa HD, Kraken and Cuda LT among others today. Loved the Coosa HD. Its secondary stability is unreal. Many people referred to it as sort of a mini Big Rig and thought it tracked well on flat water but still turned plenty quick enough for moving water use. Plus, with being able to trim the boat you can make it more maneuverable by putting the seat in the furthest back position since that raises the bow and makes it a little looser; same thing on the Kraken. The padded flat open standing area is great and the Coosa Console concept that keeps everything (batteries, transducer, accessories etc) hidden and secure is going to be nice when paddling rougher water. New Jackson Kayak seats are killer as well. Coosa HD; slam dunk! Kraken was super fast and I (emphasis on I because it wont be for everyone) was able to easily stand in it as well so could be a winner for me inshore since I do like to paddle longer distances. Also the way that the Plano box and JKrate secure in case of flipping is genius. Jim Sammons and the gang thought of about everything I loved it. Kraken; Homerun Cuda LT is our thermoform version of the Cuda 12 and it surprised me the most today! Its actually 4 inches longer than the Cuda 12 and I believe an inch wider due to thermoform not shrinking as much. Plus it is 15lbs lighter so its actually a whole new feel when paddling it! Paddles very fast from the first stroke and is super stable and looks very sleek. Cuda LT; Hole in freakin one! Bottom line, great on water demo day! Photos to come later.
