ORLANDO SALIDO ELEVATED TO FULL WBO SUPER FEATHERWEIGHT WORLD CHAMPION STATUS; MIKEY GARCIA VACATES 130-POUND TITLE STRAP TO MOVE UP IN WEIGHT WBO President Paco Varcacel announced yesterday that rugged Mexican brawler, Orlando Siri Salido 42-12-2 (29 KOs) has been elevated to Full WBO Super Featherweight World Champion status. Salido won the WBOs interim 130-pound title strap last month in Mexico with an 11th round knockout victory over Terdsak Kokietgym 53-5-1 (33 KOs) of Thailand in a wild slugfest that produced a total of seven knockdowns. Previous WBO Super Featherweight World Champion, Miguel Ángel Mikey Garcia 34-0 (28 KOs) has officially vacated his title & will jump up two weight classes to compete in the more lucrative 140-pound, Jr. Welterweight division.
