OSCAR PISTORIOUS - With the trial now on a 10 day hiatus, time to reflect on a fasciniating dichomety. Both Defendant Pistorious and his learned Counsel Barry Roux are Afrikaners. The White Afrikaners in South Africa consist of approximately 260,000.00 in a population of over 52 Million. Of the total 52 MIllion population approximately 5 Million are White and the balance of 47 Million are Black. Historically, the Afrikaners openly and notoriously supported racism, aparteid, gender discrimination, anti-semitism and basically anti everything non-Afrikaner. In the Pistorious courtroom, we have a Black, female Judge (a recent victim of the Afrikaner theology) with a long history both of support for female crime victims and for doling out harsh punishments to female abusers now, on the brink and poised to decide the fate of a White Afrikaner charged with murder. A White Afrikaner who, is represented by another White Afrikaner.
