OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine confirms a passenger bus near Volnovakha was hit by a rocket In its report of January 14, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) detailed its visit to the site of the terrorist attack on a Ukrainian Armed Forces checkpoint which struck a civilian bus near Volnovakha (Donetsk region). The SMM witnessed that the bus had shrapnel damage consistent with a rocket impact, estimated by the monitors to be 12-15 meters from the vehicle. The SMM also visited the Volnovakha hospital where staff confirmed that 10 people on the bus were killed instantly, while two died later in the hospital. 17 passengers were injured. As with the MH17 tragedy last July, Russia is trying to deflect attention from its proxies and support fake versions of the attack concocted by the terrorists.
