OSUN STATE : Pray for Rotimi Makinde. Recall who is Rotimi Makinde. The theatre practitioner that share providence made a member of the House of Representative. Rotimi Makinde it was, that stirred the hornet nest with a billboard bearing an inscription Tijakadi Ko Meaning: not by violence . His intention to provoke and present the opposition particularly Omisore as a violent person in the eyes of the public through the billboard however failed him as the opposition took it without a pint of salt. Hence,the billboard that was intended to drag Omisore and the PDP into the dark murky water of politics later died a sudden and premature death. Whatever the investment of Makinde on the billboard thereafter became a colossal waste. That was Makinde for you. The same Makinde is now hospitalised at Eko Hospital as a result of the Ijakadi (political violence) which his treacherous billboard was deceitfully preaching against. Ironically, the violence was visited on him by his own people on Thursday 17th day of July,2014 at Ifetedo where he has gone to canvass for votes. But for the officers and men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ,Makinde would have become history by now. His fellow APC members at Ifetedo ,whom report has it,had earlier warned Makinde against visiting them descended on him on arrival and beat him to coma. His Offence. The last time he ever visited or remember them for anything was three and a half years ago when he was canvassing for votes. Since then till date,Makinde after the votes has disconnected himself from the people who voted for him overwhelmingly. If a text message he sent to one of his friend is anything to by Rotimi Makinde is not recuperating fast and well enough on his Eko hospital bed. A lot of lessons there for whoever cares to learn.
