OUR GENERATION MUST NOT FAIL IKARE At the meeting of Omoye Forum held in Lagos on December 6, 2014. It was resolved that every hand must be on deck to ensure that the glory of the town is restored and Ikare takes its pride of pace in Ondo state and the country at large. At the meeting, the convener, Animasaun Sirajudeen Olatunde expressed appreciation for the turnout of Omoyes and said the time for Ikare revival has come. He said further that the meeting, which was a follow up on an earlier one is to set agenda for the Forum and harmonise thoughts to create a broad base for the Forum. Omoyes who attended the meeting spoke enthusiastically and gave valuable contributions and suggestions that led to the agreement that the Objective of the Forum shall be the development of Ikare resources, Physical, human and material. It was further agreed that this objective shall be realized through the following: • Education and Economic Empowerment • Peace and Security • Infrastructure and Social amenities • Ikare professional league • Social mobilization and Orientation It was further agreed that to formalize the Forum as an entity known to aw, it should be duly registered with the corporate Affairs commission. The meeting was attended by Omoye Animasaun Sirajudeen Olatunde, Convener, Omoye Jamiu Adesina Haruna OMoye Dare Abe, Omoye Kehinde Adams, Omoye Dayo Tayeolu Abdul, Omoye Wale Kolade. Others are Omoye Wale Salau and Omoye Alex Akinola. Next meeting is January 17, 2015 and all Omoyes in Lagos are invited. — with Jamiu Adesina Haruna and Adetunji Ogunyemi.
