HERES MORE NEWS ON ITS CULTURAL FILM PROGRAMS: THE CITY OF RANCHO MIRAGE PUBLIC LIBRARY PRESENTS AN AMDOCS SNEAK PEEK EVENT WHAT: A screening of two dance-related films to be showcased at the American Documentary Film Festival WHEN: Monday, March 24, 2014, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. WHERE: Community Room of the City of Rancho Mirage Public Library 71-100 Highway 111 PRICE: Free to the Public INFO: 760-341-7323 or visit ranchomiragelibrary.org Rancho Mirage, California- The City of Rancho Mirage Public Library invites you to enjoy a screening of two dance-related films that will be featured at the American Documentary Film Festival, which starts in Palm Springs on March 27. Admission to this program is free and open to the public. The Rancho Mirage Public Library is excited to announce our continuing partnership with The American Documentary Film Festival (AmDocs). Together we have developed a variety of interesting and informative programs for our library patrons, including free monthly film screenings and a growing documentary film archive that will eventually be catalogued and available for check out. On Monday, March 24, AmDocs will host a Sneak Peek of the Festival at the Library. Bhavini, a 15 minute short that follows a girl in India who dreams of mastering a traditional dance style; and Sometimes I Dreams Im Flying, a 56 minute film focused on a talented dancer who puts her pain and exhaustion in the background until her health suffers just prior to her performance at the Berlin Opera. A special live performance will follow the screening of these films. Additionally, Rancho Mirage Public Library card holders are invited to attend all of the 120 international films that will be shown during the American Documentary Film Festival, March 27-31, 2014, and receive a 20% discount by showing their library card at the AmDocs box office. Seating is limited and available only on a first-come, first-served basis. This program is brought to you by the membership of the Rancho Mirage Public Library Foundation.
