OUR NEIGHBORHOOD HISTORY 1949 to 1965! I met with Bonna Gayhart for the first time last week and spent time learning about our neighborhood history. Bonna has lived in our community since 1949 and has a wealth of historical knowledge and insight about the East Montclair/East Colfax Neighborhood. I will begin bringing this history to our community through the help and permission of Bonna as well as writing up articles for publication in our East Montclair Neighborhood Association Newsletter. The attached document is Bonnas first hand account of living in our neighborhood, raising a family here and the changes that occurred from 1949 to 1965. It is a fantastic read and gives a great insight on the past history of our historic community!
