OUR RATINGS SKYROCKETED! On Friday, Magic Broadcasting II fired me, citing low ratings. Specifically, I was told there was a 40 percent drop. Yesterday, the semi-annual Nielsen Ratings (formerly Arbitron) indicated that our day-part ratings spiked big-time (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.). Radio colleagues have filled me in on some of the findings for the last 2-book average (over the past year). Compare our day-part to my competition (Rush Limbaugh) for Men 25-54: WE DOUBLED THE AMOUNT OF LISTENERS HE HAS. And we were the highest rated day-part on all of Talk Radio 101 (WYOO). Those who subscribe to the Nielsen Ratings can validate our success in virtually every demographic. Now - I wonder why Magic Broadcasting would fire a talk-radio host with higher ratings than Limbaugh? And even worse, they left you without a place to voice your opinion in Panama City and Tallahassee.
